Collins, Michael J. , age 72, of Excelsior passed away September 20, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Clara Sider. Mike enjoyed his time working with Honeywell and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, Japan. He loved his time fishing for walleye with family and friends at the cabin even more. He also got to work his dream job with the National Forest Service. His greatest joy was being a husband, father and grandfather. Survived by wife of 36 years Kazuko; daughters Lara (Nick) and Sara (James); and the ultimate sources of joy in his life, his grandchildren, George, Henry, Eleanor and Archie. And of course, the forever loved pup, Mollie. Also survived by brothers Joseph and Leo and many other relatives. Memorial service 2 PM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, 520 2nd Street, Excelsior, with visitation starting at 1 PM. Private interment.
